18th April 2009:Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement(JKSM) staged a distinctive sit-in protest at press enclave Srinager on Saturday -wearing white clothes and displaying Indian sham democracy with no justice. Chairman JKSM Zaffar Akber Bhat while briefing to media said that more than 40,000 released pro-freedom people ,who have trodden the peaceful political method are being continuously harassed at the hands of various security agencies of India in Kashmir.

'Boycott shows people’s resolve'

Srinagar, May 09: The convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK Chapter, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar has said that Kashmiris have again shown their faith and commitment with the cause of freedom by staying away from Indian parliamentary polls on May.
In a statement, he said people of Jammu and Kashmir will neither compromise on freedom nor allow anybody else to damage their noble cause. GK

Bar hails farcical elections boycott

Srinagar, May 09: In Srinagar, the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) has hailed people for observing the election boycott. 
In a statement .the HCBA said that the people by observing the boycott conveyed to the world community that Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions. The Bar said peace would elude till Kashmir dispute was resolved. It urged people of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora to boycott the farcial polls on May 13.

JKLF flays Malik's house arrest

Srinagar, May 9: In Srinagar, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has strongly flayed continued house arrest of its Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik.
In a press statement, a JKLF spokesman said that Malik was barred from offering Friday prayers. The JKLF chairman is under house arrest for the past 18 days.

APHC pays rich tributes to Basher Ahamd sofi

Srinagar, May 09: In Srinagar, a delegation led by Chairman of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq has paid rich tributes to the Bashir Ahmad Sofi alias Professor Saleem, who was deliberately hit and killed by an Indian army vehicle at Khrew Pampore area on Friday.

Bhat praises people

Srinagar, May 09: In Srinagar, the APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zaffar Akbar Bhat has said that it is important to boycott the farcical elections to safeguard the precious sacrifices of martyrs and appealed the people of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipore to boycott the polls scheduled on May 13.

Bazaz calls for complete boycott of farcial polls in Kashmir

New Delhi, May 10 : President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, (JKDF) Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, has called for complete boycott of Indian Lok Sabha polls in occupied Kashmir.
Speaking at a ceremony organised to observe death anniversary of Mrs. Badri Bazaz, a great freedom fighter and founder Chairperson of JKDF in Jammu, Pandit Bhushan Bazaz called upon all Pandits in Kashmir to stand shoulder to shoulder with their Muslim brethren just like Badri Bazaz and other leaders in the on-going struggle for cause of Kashmir.

APDP calls for int’l commission to probe disappearances

Srinagar, May 10:  In Srinagar, the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons (APDP) has demanded setting up of an international commission to probe all the enforced disappearances in occupied Kashmir.
 
The demand was made during a sit-in protest, today, held at Pratab Park in Srinagar. The demonstrators said that their fight would continue till they get justice.
