Need of bold steps for the resolution of Kashmir dispute

Press release Srinagar, October 25 : Senior Hurriyat leader and chairman Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar on Wednesday said that both India and Pakistan including resistance leadership need to take bold steps for the resolution of Kashmir dispute .Rejecting track 2 or backdoor parleys, Zafar stressed that for amicable and lasting solution to the lingering dispute, all the stake holders need to take time bound and courageous steps.

For the negations we need to be sincere and added that if authorities are interested then they should take confidence building measures and release all those detained in different jails.

Commenting over the presence of contingents of forces in densely populated areas, Zafar said that Indian authorities while offering its offer for negotiations should call its forces to barrack and revoke AFSPA and other harsh and black laws.

Zafar demanded immediate release of youth languishing in jails and said that it will definitely convey a message that authorities are sincere and it will create a feasible atmosphere for negotiations.

 Coriecive measures and negotiations can’t go together, said Zafar and added that tripartite talks between all its stakeholders are the only feasible and reliable approach.

Meanwhile Zafar Akbar Bhat on Wednesday visited Buchroo and Kralpora in Chadura and extended his heartfelt condolences to families of late Ad Irfan Ahmad Sheikh and Meraj u Din.

Zafar Akbar who was placed under house arrest by authorities and soon after his release visited both places and extended his condolences to grieved famines.

Addressing mourners Zafar Akbar hailed the services of late Irfan Ahmad and added that his meritorious services will be written in golden letters.

Zafar Akbar praying for heavenly aboard for Meraj Din, said that he was staunch supporter of freedom movement.

Zafar Akbar prayed for grieved families for their forbiddance and persistence to bear this irreparable loss.
