India using brute force, bullets and pellets on Kashmiris to suppress their demand for right to self -determination

Islamabad, Feb 08 2018:  Hurriyet leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zaffar Akbar Bhat has said that India and its forces are using brute force, bullets and pellets on Kashmiris to  suppress their  demand for right to self -determination. This was stated by the Zafar Akbar Bhat in a seminar in Islamabad Club in a seminar on  " Briefing Session on Kashmir: Perspective and Experience from Indian Occupied Kashmir". He said New Delhi has committed a genocide in Kashmiri to suppress the mass uprising and Indian forces are involved in killing and assaulting of Kashmiris during violent search operations. The Indian forces had made life of Kashmiris miserable.

Zafar Akbar Bhat who is in Islamabad was the Chief Guest of the Session.  He said that as per estimated reports at least one  lakh people are victims of Indian state terrorism since 1989.  He also expressed serious concern over the disgracing of women by Indian forces  adding that woman was used  as a weapon of war by the  Indian forces .

 Th Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defence Production,  Lt General (R) Abdul Qayyum  who was presiding the session said  the Draconian laws and the atrocities of the Indian forces requires the International Community to take action against the state sponsored human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

Lt General (R) Abdul Qayyum has said that Pakistan is standing with its Kashmiri brethren in thick and thin and will also continue to support the cause at the international and  regional level. He said that it is priority of Pakistan to inform the international community about the right of self determination of Kashmir people and which is also the part of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Ms. Farhat Asif, President Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies highlighted the significance of organizing this briefing session. 

Dr Adnan Sarwar Khan, Head of IR department National University of Modern Languages, Farzana Yaqoob Former Minister AJK also highlight the current situation of Indian occupied Kashmir.
