WITH DR MEHRAJ UD DIN'S DEMISE THE KASHMIR NATION LOST AN ASSET AND HIS CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THE FREEDOM STRUGGLE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR LONG: JAVAID MIR

Srinagar, Sep 26: The JKLH (H) Chairman Javaid Ahmad Mir and Salvation Movement head  Zaffer Akbar Bhat have expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Dr Mehraj Ul Din Munshi who passed away on Tuesday late night. Terming the demise of Dr Mehraj Ul Din a great loss to the society and the Freedom movement, the leaders said the deceased was among the prominent intellectuals and think tanks of Kashmir.
While recalling his memories with the deceased, Javaid Mir said the former used to remain on forefront along with Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, Prof Abdul Ahad Wani and others. He said with his demise the Kashmir nation lost an asset and his contribution towards the Freedom struggle will be remembered for long. He said the bereaved family also sacrificed a lot for the better political future of Kashmir.
Javaid mir said that Dr. Mehraj Ul Din joined the hands of JKLF when there was reign of terror lashed by the government in the length and breadth of Kashmir, adding, the deceased went to US and pleaded the Kashmir cause there on different fronts.
Javaid Ahmad Mir also participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased at Nigeen which was lead by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and was attended by hundreds of people including JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and other members of JKLF and Doctors Fraternity.
Meanwhile Javaid Ahmad Mir has condoled the sad demise of Syed Nazir Ahmad Qadri of Rajbagh who happens the father in law of Khalid Jan close associate of JKLF.
