Bazaz calls for complete boycott of farcial polls in Kashmir

New Delhi, May 10 : President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Forum, (JKDF) Pandit Bhushan Bazaz, has called for complete boycott of Indian Lok Sabha polls in occupied Kashmir.
Speaking at a ceremony organised to observe death anniversary of Mrs. Badri Bazaz, a great freedom fighter and founder Chairperson of JKDF in Jammu, Pandit Bhushan Bazaz called upon all Pandits in Kashmir to stand shoulder to shoulder with their Muslim brethren just like Badri Bazaz and other leaders in the on-going struggle for cause of Kashmir.
He said Kashmir is a disputed territory and no peace in South Asia is possible until its just, dignified and permanent solution is secured.
For this purpose, he said UN resolutions on Kashmir and tripartite talks are two alternatives.
He demanded an end to search operations, crack down and innocent killings in IHK in the name of “protective policy”.
He said Badri Bazaz fought hard against coercive policies of the ruling forces in early thirties for uplift of oppressed women in the valley.
Politicians and opinion leaders of different segment of societies while paying rich homage to the great freedom fighter said Badri Bazaz was initiator of political and social awakening of women folk in the valley. APP
